Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun, has sent his Christmas and new year message to all citizens in the state, calling on everyone to remain safe by obeying the laid down rules and regulations.

Governor Matawalle noted with delight that this year has come to an end with difficulty but the spirit of resilience of Nigerians has remained ever intact. He specifically called on all Christians in the state to observe this year’s yelutide period with caution, decorum and high sense of responsibility.

According to the statement by the Governor’s Spoke Person Malam Zailani Bappa, “the Governor also noted with delight that Christians in the state are living happily with everyone and urged them to continue to remain peaceful and obedient to constituted authority.

He admonished Christians to reflect the life and practice of Jesus Christ and use the period to pray for the state and Country at large, especially against the menace of insurgency, banditry and other criminalities.

Governor Matawalle wishes everyone a prosperous new year and remain optimistic that the year 2021 would be a year of peace, prosperity and abundance.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
