The Chairman of Patriots for the Advancement of Peace and Social Development (PAPSD) a non-governmental organization Alh Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi has issued a fourteen days ultimatum to Sahara reporters Online news medium to retract what he described as “fabricated and malicious story” against Zamfara State Government or face a court action.
He also issues the same fourteen days ultimatum to the former Maradun Council Chairman to retract his statement or face the same court action as well.
He also said, both the news medium and former council chairman are to publish an apology in five national dailies.
Sani Wamban Shinkafi who declared this in a press statement issued to newsmen described the allegations by Sahara Reporters as malicious, wicked and irresponsible adding that no sensitive government will aid terrorists to attack, kidnap or kill its citizens.
He described Maradun’s allegations as unpatriotic and accused him of being committed to disrupting the good policies and programs of the Governor Matawalle, most especially the ongoing peace and reconciliation process initiated by the governor early last year.
Shinkafi called on the Inspector-General Of Police (IGP) the Director-General Of the State Security Services to investigate and possibly arrest and prosecute Maradun for public incitement, fake news and inflammatory statement capable of breaching the fragile peace that had been restored to Zamfara State by Governor Matawalle led administration in the past eighteen months.
