NIGERIAN ARMY RESCUES 22 ABDUCTEES IN ZAMFARA, AS GUNMEN SURRENDERS OVER 100 GUNS TO ZMSG

Arrangement has been concluded by the State government to reunite the 22 abductees who were rescued by the joint military operation of the Nigerian army on Sunday.


State Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs Abubakar Muhammad Dauran who declared this in an exclusive interview with Thunder Blowers Online News Medium on Monday  noted that, 16 out of the 22 abductees are natives of Sokoto State while one each are from Anka and Bukkuyum and four from Bakura Local government areas of Zamfara State.

Dauran explained further that, his ministry will make all arrangement possible to make sure that, all the abductees have been reunited with their families today.


He explained further that, in continuation of the execution of the peace agreement initiated by the State government, some suspected bandits on Sunday have surrendered to the terms of the peace agreement of the state as well as handed down over one hundred guns including AK 47 and AA with its live amunitions.
He explained that, the Matawalle led administration will continue to implement its stick and carrot approach of fight against bandits noting that, those who are ready to embrace peace will see peace and those who are not ready will be dealt with decisively by the military and other security in the joint operation. 

 He commended the military and other security agents fighting the bandits in the forest and assured them of state government’s readiness to supporting them at all time.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
