PDP MEMBERS DEFECTS TO THE OPPOSITION APC IN ZAMFARA, FMR COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ASSURES THEM OF POLITICAL INCLUSION

Hundreds of PDP supporters as well as supporters of APC G8 from all the political wards in Chafe Local Government have defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress in Zamfara state.


The defection rally took place at the APC  local government headquarters of Chafe and it was attended by prominent APC stalwarts from the local government including the immediate past council Chairman Aliyu Abubakar Chafe.

Majority of the defectors who spoke at the venue explained that their defection from the ruling PDP is specifically informed by their unending frustration and spiritual neglect by the party structure in the state.


Majority of them noted that,they have been in PDP since the returns of the 4th republic but only for them to be abandoned after the party climbed to victory.
Addressing the decampees, the party leader in the area and immediate past council Chairman Aliyu Abubakar Chafe welcomed them on board and assured them of the party readiness to carry them along in all matters related to its activities and urged them to continue to mobilize support for the party in their respective domain.

Also speaking, the party Chairman Chafe local government Alh Kabiru Mande also assured the defectees that they should feel at home and work harder to influence more supporters for the party.

The defection rally took place barely less than a month after same former Chafe Council Chairman led some supporters of Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa from Chafe to joining the APC camp led by one of it’s former gubernatorial aspirants Aminu Sani Jaji in a rally that took place at the personal resident of the politician at Millennium Quarters Gusau

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
