Zamfara State Commissioner for Education Ibrahim Abdullahi Spirow has chaired an interface between his ministry and operators of private schools in Zamfara state with the aim of keeping them informed of the new policies and programmes of the current administration on education.
The interface which took place at the UBE teacher training center in Gusau the state capital features delibration on matters arising regarding the ongoing state government reforms in education under the leadership of Governor Bello Matawalle.
During the session the Commissioner informed the private schools operators that ministry of education under his watch will continue implement policies and programmes that have direct bearing on the targeted educational reforms as envisioned by the Governor noting that, his door remains open for constructive advise that will help in that direction.
He noted that the government is not unaware of the challenges faced by teachers and workers working in private schools especially with the Covid-19 lockdown adding that they have strengthen consultation with stakeholders at the Federal level in order to make sure that schools are fully re-opens for normal teaching and learning activities.
Earlier in their remarks, the Association of Private School owners who spoke through their President Alh Samaila Kwangawami commended the effort of the Commissioner for his concern on their plight and promised to continue to support him at all time.
