Hundreds of supporters of Zamfara former Deputy Governor Malam Ibrahim Wakkala from Anka, Bukkuyum, Talatar Mafara and Gummi have unanimously supported the decision of their political mentor to defect to the ruling PDP in the state.
The decision was reached during a one day consultation meeting by the former Deputy Governor with hundreds of his supporters from these local government areas in Gusau on Wednesday.
Alh Sani D. D. Anka, Hashimu Shehu Gazura, and Abubakar Ajiya both spoke on behalf of the supporters from Anka, Gummi and Bukkuyum during the meeting and also agreed to the decision as a welcome development.
It could be recall that, the consultation meeting by the former Deputy Governor begins with the members of the various political groups who have been the supporters of his political movement before arrangement was made to invite supporters from across all the fourteen local government councils.
Malam Ibrahim Wakkala who has been a political ally to the serving Governor of Zamfara Bello Muhammad Matawalle has been perfecting a move to dump his former party APC and re-unite with Bello Matawalle in the ruling PDP as widely speculated.
Former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State Alh Mukhtar Ahmad Anka, former Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly Bature Ummaru Sambo and many other political associates of Malam Ibrahim Wakkala joined him in the meeting as part of their solidarity for his political movement.
