Special Adviser to Zamfara State Governor on Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Faika Ahmad in company of the members of her team visited some Zamfara internally displaced persons in Sokoto with a view to assessing their living condition.
The displaced persons who were from Bukkuyum, Shinkafi and Maradun local governments leave within some uncompleted structures at Mana area of Sokoto for close to four years and they include males and females.
When asked why they refused to relocate back to their homes they said majority of their houses were completely destroyed added with shortage of food and other valuables
The Special Adviser who expressed concern with their plight said she was in Sokoto to see them and inquire about their living condition noting that arrangement will soon be made to start moving them to their respective places of origin.
