The former Director General Campaign to Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle and immediate past Commissioner for Information in the government of Abdulazeez Yari Alh Sanda Muhammad Danjari has defected to the ruling People’s Democratic Party.
The former Information Commissioner who was a long term political ally to Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle since during their days as Commissioners under Yarima took over from his predecessor Ibrahim Maigandi Danmalikin Gidan Goga as DG campaign to Governor Bello Matawalle sometimes between 2012 and 2013 before he defected from the PDP and joined APC under Governor Yari where he was made a Commissioner and member of the Yari cabinet.
Now that the APC has losses to the PDP again, the former Commissioner has defected back to the ruling PDP.
The former Commissioner has visited the Governor in his Abuja residence and he is bill to perfect his defection through a defection rally to be organized soon.
Confirming the development to Thunder Blowers, Governor Bello Matawalle’s Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment Media and Communication Malam Zailani Bappa said the two political allies have met and the former Commissioner has demonstrated his willingness to join the ruling party.
Zailani Bappa said as soon as the Governor is back to the State grand reception rally would be held in honour of the former Commissioner and his hundreds of supporters in Gusau.
The defection of former Commissioner Danjari came barely less than twelve hours after the former Local Council Chairman of Chafe Aliyu Abubakar MC had received hundreds of political supporters from the PDP and Senator Marafa faction of the APC at a grand rally held in Chafe Local Government APC party office.
